In the fourth quarter of 2005, China's laptop shipment reached 1.03 million sets and the shipment value reached RMB8.42 billion, increasing 44.4% and 24.6% quarter on quarter respectively. however, as market competition got heavier and a price war became the major marketing strategy, China's laptop profit rate declined.
