As the business model evolves, it will gradually show more differences with traditional TV programs.

As the industry chain changes and expands in this phase, specialized content providers will come out into the market; there will be more new applications based on P2P streaming technologies; and service providers will proactively introduce new business models for segmented markets . P2P Streaming firms mainly have four business models: technology providers such as MYSEE, independent portals such as Sina and Sohu, integrated portals such as PPlive and PPstream and integrated service providers such as Roxbeam. The basic profit model of P2P Streaming will be similar to the business models of Internet industry. One is to genetare advertising revenue with enough large traffic; the other is to charge service fees to users by controlling special contents or channels. China P2P Streaming Market 2005.
